Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, watercress, arugula, and Brussels sprouts are probably things that don't sound necessarily tasty, but they actually can be. What's more important is that they are extremely healthy for you and can boost your immunity, fight cardiovascular disease, help manage blood pressure and even help prevent cancer (specifically breast cancer, prostate cancer and certain types of leukemia).
In fact, the drug industry cannot match the potency, efficacy and safety of these veggies when it comes to a myriad of of health challenge. Due to their many natural healthy compounds, they are truly nature's magic.
The trick is to prepare them in a way that is tasty and still beneficial.
Try broccoli lightly steamed, raw, in salads or include it in your smoothies and green juices. Cauliflower can be a great substitute for white rice and mashed potatoes.
Just make sure you're using organic and pesticide-free cruciferous vegetables. And don't over-cook, as this depletes the potency of nutrients.
