Jelena Pavlovic, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Neurology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Pavlovic earned her BS from Ramapo College of New Jersey where she double majored in Biology and Chemistry while on full academic scholarship. She completed her MD and PhD in Molecular Medicine at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. She was an intern in internal medicine at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York City and a neurology resident at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center, where she was also a Chief Resident. She subsequently continued her training as a fellow in Headache Medicine and Facial Pain at the Montefiore Headache Center.

Dr. Pavlovic is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), the American Headache Society (AHS), and the International Headache Society (IHS). In addition to prior awards, she received the AHS’s "Frontiers in Headache Research" scholarship in 2012.

Dr. Pavlovic’s research interests broadly focus on migraine biophenotypes with a particular interest in processes that lead to the progression from episodic to chronic migraine.
